Proper Article Marketing Will Reward Your Blog With Targeted Visitors

Article writing and article marketing is one of the oldest and most popular methods to increase blog traffic. When you go for article marketing, there are three main things to consider – writing a content rich article, publishing it at the most appropriate sites and targeting the correct visitors.

Writing articles is an art by itself especially when writing for online marketing. The content has to be “rich” and the article should have a high density of “keywords” to make it effective. “Rich” means the article should be informative and have some use for the readers. It should be on a subject that is relevant to your blog. It could have a problem-solution pertaining to the subject, innovations in the field, service providers and resources links or any other similar content which is likely to grab people’s attention. At the end of the article, you should always mention your blog URL so that after the user’s interest is triggered, they will be prompted to gather further details from your blog by visiting it. For instance, if you have a holiday resorts booking service, you could write articles on the most interesting destinations/ resorts around the world and trigger the user’s interest by pointing out how they can enjoy a great, exclusive holiday at low prices. You can then go on to say how they can make this possible with a link to your blog.

One more important aspect to keep in mind is to make the articles “keyword” dense to ensure that it reaches targeted visitors. Targeted visitors are people who will be interested in your blog’s service. Keywords or keyword phrases are those words that are likely to be used by people when they initiate a search on the subject pertaining to your blog. In the above example, it could be some thing like “cheap holidays”. There are tools to find out the most relevant keywords connected to a particular niche. By using these you can compile a list of keyword phrases and then make sure that they are incorporated into the articles you prepare. These phrases should be present profusely in the blog pages also. By doing this you can ensure that a number of people will see the articles when they initiate a search and through these articles your blog will attract more visitors. There are professional copy writers who can prepare search engine optimized, content rich articles for your blog. If you do not have the time or ability to write your own articles, you can get their services. Only such well written articles can be published on good sites that will have the desired results of increasing targeted visitors to your blog.

To market the articles you have written there are numerous distribution sites and automated processes. But it is better to resort to manual submission of articles. Also when publishing the same article in many sites, you can re-write the articles to make them unique and then submit them to avoid duplicates in search engines. The sites you choose should be relevant to your blog and should be popular sites that already have a big visitor base.

Can Targeted Visitors Really Make A Difference?

When people count the number of visitors to their website it does not always result in the direct correlation with the success of their website. The reason being there is a difference between a visitor and a targeted visitor. You may have traffic just like at a mall which has several hundreds of footfalls over the weekend but is not actually selling anything. Traffic to your website does not actually mean that you are going to sell your products or services to them.

•    All the traffic that comes in the direction of your website need not be the same. Targeted traffic is the life blood of your business. This is the kind of traffic that will earn you a place under the sun on the World Wide Web.

•    Targeted traffic is a set of people who are already interested in the product. So, they are higher up in the chain of buying the product. They have already got a need for the product and they have evinced interest for it. Therefore, converting them into a customer is going to be easy.

•    If you are selling products and you don’t have your niche target audience then you will not be selling. If they are not interested in your product why would they buy from you? Moreover, the kind of traffic that you are able to get to your site has a big co-relation with the success of your website and your online business. You need to narrow down on your potential customers and spend all of your energy on them. This way the focus on them will be more rather than focusing on a wider audience which will be fruitless in the long run.

•    Also, when the potential customer views your product his levels of interest are going to perk up. When he sees the features and benefits he is certainly going to find it hard to resist the bait. Remember that a target visitor is ready to buy; he just needs the push in the right direction.

•    Several marketing research companies have gone on to prove that unique targeted customers are more likely to buy then the one’s that just stop by for a lark. They are the ones who are well informed. They have already narrowed down on a product, thoroughly researched it and then have stopped by at your website. They are actually looking around to see if they can clinch for themselves a good deal. If you are able to offer them great value for their money along with a freebie or two they are certainly going to not go away without buying. The right product, packaged appropriately and priced right is what they are looking for.

Hence, rather than spreading your net out wide and not have any gains to show for it, targeted traffic should be your option. Fewer people to your website is preferable if it culminates into a sale rather than having hordes but the cash register empty.
